Studying Methodical Competencies in the Context of Professional Training for Specialists in Special Education

The article reveals the content of the study of methodical competencies of students – future special educators. Its relevance and attention to the methodological side of professional activity is determined by the requirements of regulatory documents for the organization of special and inclusive education in the Russian Federation. Based on research in the field of educational psychology, general and special pedagogy, the author reveals the essence of the concepts of methodical competence and competencies, highlights the features of the professional and methodical activity of a special teacher, and substantiates the methods of conducting a pedagogical experiment. The analysis of the results of its ascertaining part made it possible to identify the characteristic features of the methodological competencies of special educators at different stages of professionalization. Based on the findings, the necessity of purposeful formation of methodical knowledge among future teachers from the perspective of a systematic approach and the development of methodical competencies based on a systematic orientation in methodical activities was substantiated, which was implemented in the conditions of the formative part of the pedagogical experiment. It is built taking into account the principles of systematic, activity-based, competence-based approaches to the formation of pedagogical activity, the specifics of the professional specifics of the work of a special teacher and is aimed at the step-by-step elaboration of the substantive and procedural characteristics of methodical competencies of future special educators in the course of professional education in a higher educational institution. The results of the control part of the study demonstrate the positive dynamics of the development of methodical competencies among students, show their ability to identify a methodical problem, conduct a better analysis of the situation, plan and program the solution of methodical tasks.
