The development of the modern complex and diverse world requires the participation of all citizens of each country in solving the global challenges of our time. And only the equal participation of men and women in this process can ensure the achievement of goals in development area. That is why it is so important to take into account gender issues in decision-making and policy-making. In turn, this requires the achievement of equality between boys and girls, women and men in access to all levels of education. During the years of independence, Kyrgyzstan has ratified more than 30 international conventions and protocols on human rights, including the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, and also became a party to the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action for the advancement of women. Since then, our country has taken legal, organizational and administrative measures aimed at raising the status of women and protecting their rights and interests. An important part of this work is to ensure the equal rights of girls and women in access to education.
